As part of the Open Government Week, held from May 19 to 23, 2025, by all member countries of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), including Tunisia, the e-Government Unit at the Presidency of the Government held a working session on May 22, 2025, with the Joint Advisory Committee responsible for monitoring the implementation of the program.
The session provided an opportunity to address several key points, including the progress made in implementing the 5th National Action Plan for the Open Government Partnership 2023–2025. On this occasion, a representative from the Ministry of Finance presented the new version of Tunisia’s Open Budget Portal, highlighting its main features and its contribution to enhancing financial transparency in the country. Discussions also covered the preparation of the 6th National Action Plan, planned for the upcoming period, as well as the proposed commitments to be submitted for the 2025 Open Government Awards.
In the same context, and as part of the implementation of Government Decree No. 3 of 2021 on open public data, a working session was organized on May 21, 2025, for executives and staff of the Ministry of Education. This session was dedicated to presenting the National Open Data Program and its various components, as well as reviewing the initiatives carried out in partnership with the Ministry since 2022. The session also allowed for the discussion and definition of mechanisms to operationalize this process and the potential methodology to be adopted within the Ministry.
