Developing the National Register of Government Data registre.data.gov.tn

As part of the implementation of the provisions of the Government Decree No. 2021-03 and the Circular No. 4 of 2024 on open government data, the e-Government Unit at the Presidency of the Government has developed, in partnership with the “PAGOF” Program, the National Register of Government Data. This is also an activity included in the 5th OGP action plan  2023-2025 and in particular at the level of the 6th commitment relating to “Strengthening the process of opening government data”.

register.data.gov.tn represents the website which aggregates the list of government data inventoried by public institutions and to which the users can access. It is considered as a complementary external component to the government data inventory management system “PDIMS”.

It allows users to consult the list of data produced and/or collected by public structures and their metadata. In addition, it offers users three participation mechanisms to contribute to the enrichment of the inventory, namely:

  • Requests to prioritize the opening of existing data not yet published in open format;
  • Requests to add data that doesn’t appear in the inventory;
  • Sending comments and opinions on the inventoried data.

The interface of the National Register of Government Data is accessible via this link.
