Organizing a workshop as part of the implementation of the commitment related to enhancing the proactive publication of information in the Fifth National OGP Action Plan

As part of the fifth commitment in the Fifth National Action Plan for the Open Government Partnership 2023-2025, which aims to empower the Information Access Authority to monitor, track, and assess the compliance of entities (approximately five thousand) subject to the Information Access Law in publishing and updating information under the proactive publication obligation, the Access to Information Authority, in collaboration with the Tunisian Association for Governance and Social Accountability (GoAct) and the E-Government Unit at the Presidency of the Government, organized a workshop on December 11, 2024, in Tunis.

The workshop presented a methodology for evaluating the compliance of entities with the publication and updating of information, in line with Organic Law No. 22 of 2016, which governs the right of access to information. This methodology also aims to support information access officers by facilitating their work in the proactive publication of information. Several information access officers and representatives from public institutions participated in the workshop, providing comments and feedback on the proposed version of the methodology, which will be developed into an electronic version in 2025.
