As part of the implementation of commitment (10) of the 4th OGP National Action Plan (2021-2023) relating to the Activation of the role of youth in the designing and monitoring of public projects, at the local level (Implementation of the project on Youth Action Plans-YAP), the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GIZ), in coordination with the E-Government Unit at the Presidency of Government, announced the results of the submission of applications under the project “Youth Action Plans -YAP” where the local work teams representing twelve (12) municipalities involved in the project submitted various proposals aimed to strengthen youth participation initiatives in local public affairs.
The twelve “Youth Action Plans” were presented and discussed by the local working groups in front of an evaluation committee composed of a representative of the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GIZ), a representative of E-Government Unit at the Presidency of Government, a representative of the National Federation of Tunisian Communes (FNCT) and the president of the Tunisian Association of Local Governance. A representative of the consulting firm “StreamLine Consulting” also participated in this committee. These youth action plans were presented to the jury during the seminar organized for this purpose on August 4 and 5, 2022.
After the deliberations of the evaluation committee, it was announced that the “youth action plans” relating to nine (9) municipalities are selected to receive further support from the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GIZ) for the realization and implementation. These municipalities are: Ghzela, Bechri Fatnasa Naga, Enfidha, Metlaoui, Zriba, Teboursouk, Carthage, Dar chaaben El Fehri et Sidi Bourouis.

It should be noted that the project “Youth Action Plan-YAP”, the object of the commitment 10 of the 4th OGP National Action Plan is part of the Project “Initiative for Municipal Development-IDM”, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German International Cooperation Agency -GIZ Tunisia in partnership with the Ministry of Interior (Local Affairs) and the National Federation of Tunisian Communes FNCT, in support of the E-Government Unit at the Presidency of the Government in the implementation of this commitment.
