As part of the celebration of the International Open Government Week, which takes place from 8 to 12 May 2023 by all member countries of the Open Government Partnership initiative, including Tunisia, the E-Government Unit at the Presidency of the Government organized a workshop to present the results of the first phase of the expanded public consultation as part of the preparation of the 5th National Action Plan of the Open Government Partnership-OGP.
This workshop was organized on May 12, 2023 in Tunis, in cooperation with the Support Program for Francophone Open Governments in its second version ” “PAGOF2” which is led by “Expertise France” and also in collaboration with the The National Democratic Institute-NDI.
Representatives of several public structures and organizations, civil society and partner institutions of the OGP program in Tunisia participated in this workshop, in order to review the list of proposals collected during the public consultation and to identify the priority commitments that could be included in the initial version of the 5th OGP action plan.
It should be noted that the expanded national consultation was opened during the period between February 8 and May 09, 2023, to collect proposals and ideas from different participants, which will be used to prepare the initial version of the action plan. Several mechanisms were used during this expanded consultation, such as electronic consultation through the public participation portal, and the organization of workshops in the governorates of Gafsa, Kairouan and Kef. This is in addition to the proposals submitted by a number of public structures and civil society associations through official correspondence
