Following-up the elaboration of drafts action plans on Open Government at the Local Level

As a part of the implementation of commitment 11 of the 3rd OGP action plan (2018-2020) relating to the establishment of the OGP at the local level, several online meetings have been organized with the steering committees to implement this updated commitment with some municipalities, namely, Essoussi, Dar Chaabene el Fehri, Zaouet Sousse, Regueb, Zriba, and Carthage. And these activities will be done to continue next week with the rest of the municipalities, namely Tinga, Hammam Chat, Gabes, Medenine and Kebili.

These meetings allowed to study the proposals collected at the level of each municipality during the first phase of public consultations, and to work on further structuring, enriching and formulating these proposals in accordance with the principles of open government.

During studying these proposals, emphasis was placed on choosing activities, projects and procedures that could have a clear and direct impact to enhance the transparency of municipal work and activate the participation of citizens and the various stakeholders in public affairs at the local level; in addition to give importance to bringing municipal services closer to the citizen and put them online.

The second phase of public consultations will soon be organized to set the list of priority proposals, which will be included in the final version of the action plans for these municipalities.
