Within the framework of the implementation of the Open Data National Action Plan and the implementation of the provisions of Government Decree No. 3 of 2021 of 06 January 2021 relating to open government data, and within the framework of the implementation of the 5th commitment of the OGP’s 4th national action plan, in particular the first sub-commitment of the latter related to the development of a new version of the national open data portal, the e-Government Unit at the Presidency of the Government, in cooperation with the World Bank, developed the new version of this portal, data.gov.tn, and put it online.
The national open data platform is a unified access point to government data produced and published by public structures at central and regional levels. It aims to strengthen the principles of transparency and accountability in the public sector by providing access to the various data produced by these structures, so as to enhance public participation in the elaboration of public policies and the monitoring of their implementation.
