Training sessions on the Open Government principles for the municipalities involved in the implementation of 11th commitment “Instaure the OGP at the local level”

In the framework of the implementation of commitment 11 of the 3rd OGP action plan (2018-2020) relating to the establishment of the OGP at the local level, the e-Government Unit at the Ministry of Civil Service, Administrative Modernization and Public Policies organized, in collaboration with the “PAGOF”porgramme aiming to support the Open Government in the Francophone African Countries, three training sessions on the Open Government principles.

In this context, the first training session took place on 15, 16 and 17 November 2019 for the municipalities of Carthage, Tinja, Hammam-Chatt and Nefza. While the second training session was held from 22 to 24 November, 2019 for the benefit of the municipalities of Zaouiet Sousse, Dar Chaabnae el fehri, Essouassi, and Zriba. In addition to a third training workshop which took place from November 29 to December 1, 2019 for the municipalities of Regueb, Gabes, Medenine and Kebeli.

These training sessions allowed to present the Open Government Partnership Initiative and the several concepts and principles related to it, namely the transparency, the accountability and integrity as well as the citizen participation. Also, the experience of Tunisia in the field of OGP has ben presented. It should also be mentioned that this training program included applied workshops and exercises aiming to reinforce the different theoretical concepts through practical knowledge.
