Dar Chaaban Al-Fehri and Zriba municipalities joined the International Open Government Partnership Program at the local level

Within the framework of strengthening the International Open Government Partnership Program at the local level and expanding the circle of local governments under it, the Open Government Partnership initiative announced the admission of Dar Chaaban Al-Fehri municipality (Nabeul province) and Zriba municipality (Zaghouan province) as new members under this network, in addition to the municipality of Carthage, which joined this initiative in 2022 and the municipalities of Regueb and El Kef, which joined this program by the end of 2020.It should be noted that in order to expand the scope of this program during the year 2024 by accepting 55 new local juridictions in this forum, the Open Government Partnership initiative has opened the call for applications for local juridictions since December 2023 to submit their applications. As a result, the initiative received more than 138 joint requests from governments and civil society organizations at the local level, who expressed interest in joining the Open Government Partnership Forum at the local level.
Joining this initiative aims to carry out ambitious reforms to consolidate the principles of transparency, public participation and accountability at the local level in order to better respond to the needs of citizens and will also allow to benefit from many advantages such as the exchange of experiences and successful experiences in the field of open government at the local level, and the provision of technical support.
