Organization of an information day to launch the preparation process of the 5th National Action Plan of the Open Government Partnership 2023-2025

An information day was organized on Wednesday, February 08, 2023, by the E-Government Unit, in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development-OECD, to announce the launch of the preparation process of the 5th National Action Plan of the Open Government Partnership 2023 -2025.
A number of representatives of ministries and organizations participated in the information day, such as the High Committee for Administrative and Financial Control, the Access to Information Authority and a number of municipalities. A number of representatives of civil society and financial and technical partners of the Open Government Partnership Program participated in this information day.

This event presented the status of the implementation of the 4th National Action Plan of the OGP, which will be completed by the end of June 2023. The independent evaluation expert of the IRM in charge of preparing the evaluation reports of the implementation of this plan at the level of the international initiative of the Partnership for an open government has also indicated the importance of the participatory way adopted in Tunisia for the elaboration of the action plans of the PGO. And he indicated that there are a number of commitments that are considered important in terms of their ability to bring about change.

A representative of civil society, member of the Joint Advisory Committee in charge of monitoring the elaboration and implementation of the 4th National Action Plan of the OGP, presented the role played by civil society and presented its different contributions during the elaboration and implementation of the 4th National Action Plan of the OGP.

The proposed program for the preparation of the 5th OGP National Action Plan was also presented, with an explanation of the participatory mechanisms and methodology that will be adopted. In this context, the first phase of the online consultation for the collection of commitment proposals for the 5th OGP National Action Plan has been launched on the public participation portal for a period from February 8 to March 31, 2023 (link to participate in the consultation).

Finally, the participants presented a number of proposals and recommendations to promote the successful preparation of the Open Government Partnership action plans.
