As part of the implementation of the commitment (10) of the 4th Open Government Partnership (OGP) National Action Plan (2021-2023) on enhancing the role of youth in designing and monitoring public projects at the local level (Implementation of the project on youth action plans), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), in coordination with the E-Government Unit at the Presidency of the Government, organized online working meetings with the coordinators of the commitment in the 12 municipalities involved in the YAP project. These online meetings took place during the period from February 08 to 16, 2022.
The objective of these meetings is to make a detailed presentation on the implementation process of the youth action plan project and to accompany the municipalities in the constitution of the local working group that will be in charge of developing the youth action plan project.
Within this framework, the experts of the consulting firm “StreamLineConsulting” made a detailed presentation on the following elements:
Part 1: Detailed presentation of the project “Youth Action Plan ” :
– The objectives and approaches adopted in the “Youth Action Plan” initiative
– Key success factors of the Youth Action Plan project
– Suggested methodology:
- Phase 1: Launching the process
- Phase 2: Capacity building
- Phase 3: AYP development
- Phase 4: Capitalization and innovation
– The process of developing a “Youth Action Plan”
– The agenda for designing and implementing youth action plans
Part 2: Accompanying the municipalities in the constitution of the local working group of the youth action plan project by presenting the following points:
– The composition of the local working group ((2 representatives of the municipality, 1 representative of the youth centre, 1 representative of the cultural centre, 4 young representatives of the civil society)
– Selection criteria for candidates
– Criteria for selecting and evaluating applications
– Documents required in the application file
– The proposed timeline for the call for applications
– Possible mechanisms for receiving applications
– The content of the application form
These online meetings also presented an opportunity for the project coordinators to raise several issues and questions about the implementation of the Youth Action Plan project in general, and in particular about the formation of the local working group.
