Within the framework of strengthening of the international program for the Open Government Partnership at the local level and expanding the circle of local governments belonging to this network, the OGP Initiative at the international level announced the admission of the Tunisian municipalities of Regueb and El Kef among the 56 new members of this network, which numbered 56 local groups.
It should be mentioned that with the aim of expanding the scope of this program during 2020 by accepting of up to 50 new local governments in OGP Local in 2020, the Open Government Partnership Initiative has announced the call for applications for local authorities since the end of June 2020 to submit their applications. Note that the initiative subsequently received more than 110 joint application from governments and civil society organizations at the local level, which expressed interest in joining the Open Government Partnership Forum at the local level.
Joining this international network will allow to benefit from many advantages, such as sharing the best practices and experiences in the field of open government at the local level, and providing assistance and technical support.
