Results of the Call for applications for the selection of municipalities to implement initiatives devoting the OGP at the local level

As a part of the implementation of commitment 11 of the 3rd OGP action plan, 12 municipalities have been selected to participate in the execution of this project.
It should be noted that during july a call for application for the selection of these municipalities had been published. Indeed, the steering committee reached around 73 applications which have been ranked according to the total score obtained (out of 20) based on the ten criteria adopted in the candidancy’s submission.

Applications have been sorted by a working group comprising representatives from the e-Governement Unit and the Ministry of the local affairs and environment in addtion to the civil society representatives. Noting that the initial sort allowed to delete 10 applications which are not- compliant with the required conditions (non-administrative status of the applicant, duplication of some candidacies).

During a second phase, the working group selected the municipalities which have a score equal or exceeding 15 out of 20, which were around 30 municipalites that have been organized according to geographical distribution (North, Central, South). For each region, the four municipalities with the highest score have been selected.
