Establishing initiatives on open government at the level of 10 municipalities
– Organization of three training sessions on the Open Government principles for the 12 municipalities as follow :
• First training session on 15, 16 and 17 November 2019 for the municipalities of Carthage, Tinja, Hammam-Chatt and Nefza;
• Second training session from 22 to 24 November, 2019 for the benefit of the municipalities of Zaouiet Sousse, Dar Chaabnae el fehri, Essouassi, and Zriba;
• Third training session from November 29 to December 1, 2019 for the municipalities of Regueb, Gabes, Medenine and Kebeli.
– Organizing a seminar on October 23 and 24, 2019 in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development-OECD for the benefit of the selected municipalities to announce the launch of the implementation of this commitment in addition to start a project to strengthen the capacities of municipalities in the field of public communication and citizen participation;
– Sorting and selecting 12 municipalities (among more than 70 applications that have been received) to participate in this projetct, and publishing the final list through the OGP portal as follows: municipality of Carthage, municipality of Hammam chatt, municipality of Tinga, municipality of Dar Chaabane fehri, municipality of Zriba, municipality of Zaouiet Sousse, municipality of Essouassi, municipality of Regueb, municipality of Gabes, municipality of Medenine, municipality of Kebili;
– Announce a call for applications from 04 to 31 July 2019 for the selection of municipalities;
– Establishing a list of criteria to be adopted for the selection of the pilot municipalities involved within this project;
– Organizing a meeting at the Ministry of Local Affairs and Environment with the Secretary of State for Local Affairs in order to identify ways to implement this commitment;
– Sending an official correspondence from the Ministry of Civil Service, Administrative Modernization and Public Policies to the Ministry of Local Affairs and the Environment in order to appoint a focal point and to identify a working meeting date with the institutions involved aiming to determine the methodology and steps to implement this commitment;
