Issuing a regulatory text organizing the opening up of public data
– Promulgation of the governmental decree No. 2021-3 on open government data. This legal text is available in Arabic and French via this link
– Sending the Decree Project to ministries and public structures for consultation on October 2019 following the integration of proposals submitted by the Access to Information Authority consulted in this regard;
– Putting online the Open Data Decree project for public consultation from 07 to March 27, 2019;
– Complete a draft of the Open Data Decree at the end of December 2018

Continuing the implementation of the public data inventory project
– Organization of a working meeting with the Ministry of Equipment on March 29, 2019 to present the inventory project and its implementation mechanisms;
– Organization of a working meeting with the Ministry of the National Defense on March 13, 2019 to present the inventory project and its implementation mechanisms;
– Sending official correspondences to the involved structures in order to define working meetings dates

– Organizing 06 training sessions on Open Data from June 10, to June 25, 2019 as follow :
• Training session for the Open Data Focal Points on June 10 and 11, 2019;
• Training session on open data publication on 12, 13 and 14 June 2019;
• Training session on data management and analysis on 17, 18 and 19 June 2019;
• Training session on leadership and open data for senior officials on 17 and 18 June 2019;
• Training session on the legal framework of open data in Tunisia on 20 and 21 June 2019;
• Training session on the CKAN platform management on 24 and 25 June 2019.
– Organizing a training session on open data for the ministries representatives by the Tunisian Association for Local Governance at the end of December 2018;
– Starting development of the training courses content on open data;

Promoting the reuse of the open public data
– Organization of a National Hackthon around the reuse of the open public data “OpenGovDataHack2020” in three sectors (Transport, culture, Healthcare) on January 24, 25, and 26, 2020. This competition included 02 tracks, a 1st track revolved on the development of internal use cases, and a second track focused on the development of external use cases; and it brought together 38 teams and more than 150 participants.
– Presentation of six awards to the winning teams during this hackathon. Also, four other teams were honored by offering them symbolic gifts after the vote of guests and participants as innovative projects;
