Meeting of the Committee in charge of following up execution of the 2nd OGP Action Plan, held on July 4, 2017

Mrs. Rim Garnaoui opened the meeting held to follow up on execution of commitments made in the 2nd  OGP Action Plan.
At the begenning, the representative of the Arab and Mediterranean Music Center reported on progress made in the execution of the center’s projects, including providing access to audio recordings and paper archives of the Center on a dedicated website. He presented also the website’s technical characteristics namely the platform used to develop the site like the open PHP Platform considered as the only platform able to host scanned documents. However, the platform still needs to be upgraded to accept Arabic fields.
As for the platform used to develop the site for opening audio recordings, it is more complicated and is called TELEMETA for Audio Archiving, written in Python programming language, developed in partnership with the Ethnomusicology Research Center “CREM” in France. …
